Handmade Leather Balm

This leather balm is made by hand in small batches in Palo Alto, CA. Please note that untreated leather is not water-resistant, tends to dry out, and can become easily scratched. While this is all normal and arguably one of the appealing characteristics of leather, taking care of your item will extend its life. This balm aims to do just that: it restores and protects the leather item from further damage. Our balms are based on an Italian recipe, but we substitute olive oil for sweet almond oil as it penetrates the leather better and adds a pleasant scent.

Available in 30g (1 oz) tins. 

Application:

Clear leather of dirt and surface contaminants. Apply a small amount of balm to a lint-free cloth and rub balm into leather in circular motions until fully coated. Let it sit for an hour (or more, depending on humidity), then buff with a soft cotton cloth.

*Test the leather balm on an inconspicuous area of your leather item first to ensure you like the look, as the balm may cause the leather to darken. Do not use on suede, nubuck, or leathers with a waterproof finish.

Almond Butter

This balm is safe on skin unless you are sensitive to any of its ingredients (listed on the back label). Please wear gloves if you are concerned about potential sensitivities. Do not eat the balm, even if it smells delicious. Please keep away from young children and pets.
